Welcome to the McCutcheon School of Irish Dancing. * Congratulations to 'Sean Downes' WORLD CHAMPION 2009 and ALL IRELAND CHAMPION 2009 - Under 13 boys. * The McCutcheon School of Irish Dancing was formed in January 2007. The school provides lessons to both girls and boys from age 4 upwards in solo, ceili team and figure dancing, from beginner through to open level. We have two dedicated teachers in James and Noreen whose aim is to provide the highest quality of teaching in both solo and team dancing, to ensure that every pupil, regardless of their ability, reaches their full potential. Terri Elkin 9th U9 Girls Cara McCrory 42nd U14 Girls Melisa Okan 20th U15 Girls Ciara McCutcheon 11th U17 Ladies Mandy Stevenson 8th U18 Ladies Jordon Wilson 7th U14 Boys Darren Ellis 10th U14 Boys Ryan Stevenson 4th U16 Boys *Congratulations to Ryan Stevenson Under 16 Boys North American Nationals Champion 2008.* Well done Ryan a fantastic achievement. Well done to all the dancers who danced at the 2008 World Championships in Belfast. The school came home with 27 place medals and 10 recall medals - a tremendous achievement by anyone's standards. Particular congratulations to George (7th), Shannon (8th) and Mandy (9th) who placed very highly in very competitive age groups Well done also to Melissa and Ciara who recalled in their tough solo sections In the Ceili competitions, the Junior Mixed placed 5th, Senior Mixed 6th Senior Ladies 10th and Junior Girls recalled. This was an excellent first outing in the new costumes. Congratulations to all the dancers from the school who took part in The 2009 All Ireland Championships in Killarney. Well done to all the dancers who danced at the 2009 World Championships in Philadelphia. Particular congratulations to Sean (1st), and Mandy (11th) who placed very highly in very competitive age groups Well done also to Melissa and Ciara who recalled once again in their tough solo sections In the Ceili competitions our senior ladies ceili team placed an excellent 13th out of 125 teams. Although we did not have representation in as many events this year as we did last year the school has once again excelled. We now look forward to the World Championships in Glasgow in 2010.
