The first All Scotland Championships
took place in Edinburgh in 1984 attracting a total of 269 dancers.
After a second year in Edinburgh the championships moved
to Stevenston in Ayrshire for a few years before moving to Kilmarnock.
The All Scotlands are now one of the largest feiseanna
on the Irish Dancing callender, with over 1000 entries and
attracting more than 4000 visitors from all over the world.
This years Championships will take place in the City Halls, Candleriggs, Glasgow, on the weekend
of 9th, 10th & 11th October 2009.
This year we have changed the format of the syllabus to include Preliminary and
Open Championships as well as figure and ceili competitions, please note that
there will be no provision for graded solo competitions.
(We will attach the 2009 syllabus and entry form to the links on the right as soon as possible.)
