All Scotland Championships


* The All Scotland Championships 2009 will take place in 'The City Halls, Candleriggs, Glasgow' from Friday 9th October to Sunday 11th October inclusive. - This years chapmionships will consist of Preliminary and Open Championships. There will be no graded solo competitions. The syllabus will be available in the middle of June. *



The first All Scotland Championships took place in Edinburgh in 1984 attracting a total of 269 dancers. After a second year in Edinburgh the championships moved to Stevenston in Ayrshire for a few years before moving to Kilmarnock.

The All Scotlands are now one of the largest feiseanna on the Irish Dancing callender, with over 1000 entries and attracting more than 4000 visitors from all over the world.

This years Championships will take place in the City Halls, Candleriggs, Glasgow, on the weekend of 9th, 10th & 11th October 2009.

This year we have changed the format of the syllabus to include Preliminary and Open Championships as well as figure and ceili competitions, please note that there will be no provision for graded solo competitions.
